Prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) refers to interventions to prevent transmission of HIV from an HIV-positive mother to her infant during pregnancy, labor, delivery, or breastfeeding. Knowing her HIV status is critical to the success of PMTCT, and helping a mother ensure her baby is born and stays HIV-negative. This is one of our core services. We have supported many pregnant women to manage their HIV during their pregnancy, and help ensure their babies are born HIV negative. TTF has recorded 88% success in prevention of mother to child transmission. Your donations help us to provide a complete package of care that includes treatment, care and psychosocial support. Thank you for providing this life-saving support! |
